Overview
The OORT Foundation’s Grant Program supports projects using OORT’s technology and suite of products solutions. We offer financial and technical resources to help founders and developers turn their ideas into reality. OORT Foundation will be allocating up to $1M USD to support protocols building on OORT.
Grants Offered
The OORT Grants Program offers different funding tiers for grants based on the project's size, scope, and the applicant's demographic.
Microgrants
Targeting individual developers, community initiatives, early-stage projects, experimental project
- The focus tends to be more on immediate use and less on long-term alignment. These recipients might require more cash to cover operational expenses such as hosting, development tools, or initial staffing needs.
- Funding: $<5k; 70% cash to 30% tokens
- Duration: Under 3 months
Request for Proposals
- RFPs are grants for specific development work. As the name suggests, we are requesting proposals from teams that want to complete the work specified in each RFP.
- In these grants, we generally have clearly scoped deliverables, milestones, and funding limits. Some RFPs will ask you to propose your own milestones and funding needs. While there is some flexibility in RFP deliverables, we expect teams will deliver what is in scope in the RFP.
- Any deviations from the specified scope must be approved between your team and ours before we can approve funding.
- Funding: $20K - $40k; 30% cash to 70% tokens
- Duration: 3-6 months
Open Grants
- Open Grants are designed for larger-scale projects and initiatives that require more substantial funding.
- Developed protocols have the ability to potentially impact the ecosystem significantly, the allocation might lean more towards tokens. This strategy aims to align these projects' long-term interests with the success of the ecosystem.
- Funding: $40k - $100k (depends on how mature the startup is); 30% cash to 70% tokens
